Cytocast is a Hungarian biotech startup behind the Cytocast Digital Twin Patient, an advanced software solution that predicts drug side effects by simulating billions of molecular interactions within human cells. Relying on a wide range of available information on how complex cellular processes work, our solution is revolutionizing drug discovery by accelerating the overall process, reducing costs, and increasing clinical trial success rates. Our ultimate goal is to build a Digital Twin that can incorporate an individual patient’s data and suggest personalized treatments. 

This position will focus on building and extending existing solutions to predict drug side effects from changes in how proteins interact due to perturbations. Having a background in biology or medicine is not required. 
Essential Duties Include but Are Not Limited To 

• Be part of the ongoing research and development, and interface with outside research projects and collaborations 
• Write machine learning modules that integrate into our systems 
• Prepare internal reports on key performance indicators, and explore methods and tools to further improve them 
• Follow the ongoing and relevant scientific literature, and incorporate it into our software 

What we expect 

• Medior-level machine learning skills or at least two years experience in an ML-related position 
• Familiarity with Pytorch or Tensorflow, Scikit-learn, Scipy 
• Be able to discuss machine learning research in English. At least medium English working proficiency 
• Experience in statistics 

Preferred skills 

• Experiment logging tools: Tensorboard, MLFlow or similar 
• Familiar with unit testing (with frameworks like unittest, pytest or similar) 
• Experience with Docker technology 
• Data visualization 
• Experience with bioinformatics

You will be working with a dynamic, youthful team of 15 people. We are working in a hybrid setup, you can work remotely up to three days a week, with at least two days a week in our Budapest downtown office.
